The University of Alabama Rivalry with Auburn University
Chase Schroeder, the son of the president of South Central Steel (SCS), is a sales and marketing professional who serves as an assistant community manager with Bell Partners, Inc. Prior to taking his current role, Chase Schroeder studied business at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The University of Alabama, also known as UA or "Bama," was established as the state's first public college in 1831. Today, UA earns nationwide attention due to its famous football program, the Alabama Crimson Tide. UA ranks among the top 10 universities with students likely to go on to play in the NFL. Past greats include Don Hutson and Joe Namath as well as current star players like Julio Jones and Amari Cooper.
UA is also well known for its rivalry with Auburn University, another Alabama-based public college. The schools boast one of the most notorious collegiate rivalries in US history, culminating every year when the two institutions face off at the Iron Bowl. Though the Crimson Tide lost the most recent Iron Bowl game to Auburn on November 25, 2017, the team still boasts a record of 45-36-1 in the series.
